Meet Adriana

From Care Worker to Registered Manager: Celebrating Adriana’s Journey in Care
We are proud to celebrate an important milestone for Adriana, who has recently been approved as a CQC Registered Manager.
Her journey in the care sector began in 2021, when a recruiter from Comfort Care Services contacted her about an opportunity to join the team. At the time, Adriana had no previous experience in care and very little understanding of what the role would involve. Like many people starting a completely new career path, she felt nervous about taking the first step. However, during her induction week, she quickly became inspired by the structure and purpose of the care sector. She saw how care services support people to live as independently as possible, while providing the right support to improve wellbeing, confidence, and quality of life.
It was the beginning of a journey that would go on to shape her career and her sense of purpose.
Discovering a Passion for Care
As Adriana settled into her role as a Care Worker, she quickly developed a deep love for the profession. Every day brought the opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life. Whether it was offering practical support, providing reassurance, or simply brightening someone’s day, she found the role incredibly rewarding. The relationships she built with the people she supported had a lasting impact on her. Seeing the trust, appreciation, and connection that can grow through good care helped her realise that this was more than a job. It was something she truly cared about. Reflecting on this part of her journey, [Name] shared that care became her purpose. She wanted to make a meaningful difference by treating every person with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Growing Into Leadership
At first, Adriana had no plans to seek promotion. She loved working directly with service users and valued the time she spent supporting people in the community. Over time, however, she began to see that leadership could allow her to make an even greater impact. By supporting and guiding colleagues, she could help shape the quality of care being delivered and encourage others to grow in confidence.
In January 2024, Adriana applied for a Senior Care Worker position and was successfully appointed. This role gave her the opportunity to lead by example, mentor colleagues, and develop her understanding of accountability, communication, and effective teamwork.
Later, in December 2024, she progressed to Team Leader within the Reablement service. This brought a new and exciting challenge. Her role included supporting carers from the recruitment stage, delivering practical training, accompanying staff in the community, and coaching them as they developed their confidence, knowledge, and skills.
Watching new carers grow into capable and compassionate professionals became one of the most rewarding parts of her career. During this time, Adriana also developed valuable experience in compliance, quality assurance, leadership, and supporting teams to achieve high standards of care.
Taking the Next Step
As her confidence and experience continued to grow, Adriana was offered the opportunity to become Deputy Service Manager in April 2026. She embraced the role with confidence, bringing together everything she had learned throughout her journey so far. Each role had taught her something valuable, from the importance of person-centred support to the responsibility that comes with leading a team. Throughout every step, Adriana has remained committed to learning, improving, and developing both personally and professionally.
For her, care has never simply been a career. It is a reflection of her values and the person she strives to be every day. As she explains:
“Care has never been simply a career for me; it is a way of life. It reflects my values, my purpose, and the person I strive to be every day. I do not come to work simply to earn a living; I come to work because I have the privilege of making a positive difference in people’s lives.”
Becoming a CQC Registered Manager
Today, Adriana is incredibly proud to have been approved as a CQC Registered Manager. This achievement represents years of dedication, hard work, learning, and commitment. It is also a reflection of the support, encouragement, and belief she has received from those around her throughout her journey. Adriana is thankful to everyone who recognised her potential, gave her opportunities to grow, challenged her to become better, and believed in her at each stage of her career.
Her achievement is not the end of her journey, but the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
As Registered Manager, Adriana remains committed to leading with compassion, integrity, and excellence. She is passionate about supporting her team, inspiring others to deliver high-quality care, and ensuring that every person supported receives the dignity, respect, and person-centred care they deserve.
A Journey to Be Proud Of
Adriana’s story is a powerful reminder of the opportunities that exist within the care sector. It shows how someone can enter care with no previous experience and, through dedication, support, and a genuine passion for helping others, grow into a confident and compassionate leader.
We are incredibly proud of Adriana and everything she has achieved. Her journey reflects the very heart of care: making a difference, supporting others, and continuing to grow every step of the way.
Congratulations, Adriana, on becoming a CQC Registered Manager. We look forward to seeing you continue to inspire others and make a positive difference in this new chapter.
